  • In January 2004, his sister, Priscila Belfort, had disappeared and no friend or relative could come up with any information regarding this. More than 3 and a half years later, a woman called Elaine Paiva had come up with a statement that she was one of the people involved in Priscila’s kidnapping and murder. She had stated that she was forced to become a part of this because she had owed USD 4k to the mastermind of the crime and was unable to pay up.
  • Elaine and 3 other people who were allegedly involved had been arrested and that they had even revealed that they had buried Priscila’s body in a forest near Rio de Janeiro. The police conducted multiple searches around the location but were unable to find a dead body. Vitor and his family refused to accept the version of the criminals and have continued to believe that somehow, somewhere, Priscilla is still alive.
